DEMISE OF MRS. HARBAUGH
Heart Disease Her Ailment - Old Settler of Ogle County
answers the Final Summons
Yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock another of Rockford's old settlers passed
away, Mrs. Mary Catherine Harbaugh wife of George Harbaugh, of 1122 South
Main St.
The descendent has been an invalid for twenty years, suffering from asthma
and heart trouble, and the latter causing her death.
Mrs. Harbaugh was born at the home of her grandfather
near Hagerstown, MD., May 20, 1838. In 1853 she was married to George
Harbaugh and in 1865 they moved to Rockford where they have since resided.
She has been an active and consistent Christian for half a century being
identified with the Winnebago Street Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband and ten children, six sons and four
daughters. K.D., and M.R. Harbaugh of this city, L.C. Harbaugh of Wichita,
KAN., and H.E., George and John Harbaugh of Kenosha, Wis., Mrs. H.W.
Hastings of Ft. Totten, N.D., Mrs. P. Kerr, Sioux City, Iowa; Mrs. Clayton
Southgate and Miss Nettie Harbaugh of this city.
The funeral services will be held at the house tomorrow afternoon at 3
o'clock The Rev. F.F Farmiloe will officiate.
